Marketing for Manufacturers on March 15!
Webinar Series Session 25: Marketing for Manufacturers on March 15.
11am on the 3rd Wednesday of the month
Session Topic: Why Product Information is Your Most Important Asset
- The power of product information in digital commerce: When buyers aren’t walking into a physical store or distributor and picking up an object, determining for themselves if it will meet their needs and expectations, a brand must deliver robust and compelling product information online that builds buyer confidence, drives conversion, and ensure that buyers are able to purchase exactly what they need (leading to higher satisfaction, repeat purchase, and a reduction in returns).
- B2B buyers expect a B2C buying experience: According to McKinsey, 66% of B2B buyers prefer self-service digital commerce without human interaction. Additionally, 7 out of 10 B2B buyers will switch suppliers if the digital buying experience doesn’t meet their expectations. Providing robust, accurate, and compelling product information where a buyer expects to find it is what keeps them coming back again and again.
- Don’t get left behind: Breaking down organizational data silos, cleaning up and enriching product information, and storing that product information in a central source of truth that can then power the entire product journey online (from first time purchase, to repeat after-sale service and parts) is no longer a nice-to-have – it is a requirement in the pursuit of meeting ever-growing B2B buyer expectations for a compelling, always-on customer experience.
- Crawl, walk, run: Getting your arms around all product data and leveraging it in a way that increases revenue and meets buyer’s expectations can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to. Determine the product information management tool best suited for your business needs and start with one product line or division. Begin setting ground rules for data governance and change management. By building internal adoption of your chosen process and tools, quick wins will be realized, and the momentum will grow
