Greetings TSMA members!
 
Welcome to 2025!! I hope it’s everything it can be for your business!
  
We have an exciting upcoming TSMA meeting on January 16 in Alexandria. We will be meeting at Willy T’s for a meal and presentation by Scott Goebel, Production Manager at FORCE America, followed by a tour of FORCE America. Register now.
 
We had a busy fall at TSMA.

  • On October 8th Brenna Johansen, Industry Relations Coordinator at the Fargo Moorhead West Fargo Chamber of Commerce, spoke on the Good Jobs Challenge followed by a tour of SCR Solutions in Fergus Falls.
  • On November 19th we hosted a joint meeting with the Red River Manufacturers Association followed by a tour of Spectrum Aeromed in Fargo.
  • On December 3rd we held the TSMA Holiday Social at Backroads Steakhouse in Evansville. It really was a jolly fundraising event! Make plans to attend next year.
The TSMA Manufacturing Career Dream Team has been active again this fall. Check out the report from coordinator Therese Serum.
 
The results of the TSMA Board of Directors election have been announced. We are excited to welcome three new board members. Thank you to Alex Thorstad for five years as a TSMA board member/officer.
 
We are very excited to welcome a new member to TSMA: Builders & Contractors Workers’ Compensation Fund. See more details in the New Member section of the newsletter. All new members are invited to register and attend the new member orientation online on February 18.
 
MMA has put together an impressive lineup of educational offerings in the coming year including: Avoiding legal pitfalls for manufacturers, Cyber risk in manufacturing, Standing out in a crowded market - Strategies to win on more than price, How to hold a successful manufacturing tour, Leading teams that consistently exceed expectations, How to build successful teams, How to create a solid fair chance process - the do’s, don’ts, and best practices and more. Take advantage of all these free offerings, encourage your staff to attend, and register now.
 
As we look ahead to spring TSMA is looking for speakers, manufacturer tours, and sponsors for upcoming meetings. Please contact Carolyn with your ideas and information.
 
I would also like to encourage your registration and participation in all our upcoming events. We are here to help you succeed, but we need your help and your participation for us to continue to succeed!
