TSMA President's Letter - Winter 2024

Greetings to TSMA members, associates, and friends!

The TSMA board of directors held our annual retreat on January 3rd and set our plans for 2024. Discussion and strategies on the direction and future of TSMA were the agenda for the day. We are committed to bringing value to our members through meaningful events, projects, and programs.

The board decided to adjust the number of membership meetings and hold the following events in 2024:

  • January 3 – BOD retreat and networking social
  • March 14 – Ice golf fundraiser
  • April – membership meeting/tour
  • May – Trap shooting fundraiser
  • July – Golf social
  • September – networking social
  • October – Tour of Manufacturing and CTE Jamboree
  • November – membership meeting/tour
  • December – Holiday social fundraiser
Be sure to check out the latest news on our Manufacturing Career Dream Team, including our new Education Coordinator Therese Serum.

Register to attend the Marketing for Manufacturers Series webinar on January 31 at 11 am that will feature Dayta Marketing and is titled: The Best Story Wins.

ALSO… We are holding our second annual TSMA ICE GOLF Social on Thursday, March 14th. This is a 9-hole scramble-style tournament with teams of four. Register your golf team or be a sponsor for the event. We really need to have you show up and participate on March 14th at Lake Reno Bar & Grill in Glenwood. Last year was a lot of fun so I anticipate it being a lot of fun again!

As we look to fill out the TSMA 2024 calendar we are looking for speakers, manufacturer tours, and sponsors for upcoming meetings. Please contact Rachel with your ideas and information.

I would also like to encourage your registration and participation in all our upcoming events. We are here to help you succeed, but we need your help and your participation for us to continue to succeed!

The 2024 TSMA officers will be officially elected at the next board meeting on February 6.  It is an honor to serve you and I encourage all of you to take part, be involved and help move us forward!

Best Regards,
Phil Johnson
TSMA President
