TSMA President’s Letter – Winter 2023

Greetings to TSMA members, associates, and friends!

Though the weather tried to stop us, the TSMA board of directors just completed our annual retreat and set our plans for 2023. We are committed to bringing value to our members through meaningful events, projects, and programs.
We are excited to announce the TSMA Luncheon Meeting on Tuesday, February 7 at MState in Fergus Falls. Please register to attend today. This will be our annual meeting and membership drive. Please bring a prospective member that can attend for free.

Be sure to check out the featured member article on Industrial Finishing Services, and an update on the latest news on our Manufacturing Career Dream Team.

Register to attend the Workforce Development Webinar on January 25 at 11 am that will feature Dick Owens of Fair Chance Employer with a presentation titled: The Fair Chance Process – Considering an Ex-offender for Employment.

ALSO… big news. TSMA is holding a new fundraiser on March 9 – ICE GOLF. This is a 9-hole scramble-style tournament with teams of four. Register your golf team, or be a sponsor for the event. We really need to have you show up and participate. March 9 at Lake Reno Bar & Grill in Glenwood. This should be a blast!

As we look to fill out the TSMA 2023 calendar we are looking for speakers, manufacturer tours, and sponsors for upcoming meetings. Please contact Alisa with your ideas and information.

I would also like to encourage your registration and participation in all our upcoming events. We are here to help you succeed, but we need your help and your participation for us to continue to succeed!

I hope to see you at the Luncheon Meeting on February 7!

This will be my last letter as the TSMA President. The 2023 officers will be elected at the next board meeting on February 8.  It has been an honor to serve you and I encourage all of you to take part, be involved and help move us forward!

Best Regards,
Mark Petersen
TSMA President
