My name is Philip Johnson, and I am excited to have stepped into the role of the President of the TSMA Board of Directors. I own PAYDAC Plastics in Fergus Falls with my wife Teresa. I’d like to thank and acknowledge Mark Petersen for serving as the TSMA President for the past five years!
 
We are excited to announce the TSMA Luncheon Meeting on Tuesday, April 4 Monday, April 17 at the Foundry in Fergus Falls. Following a presentation by Jeff Ackerson, President, and CEO of Vector Windows, we will tour the new second location of Vector Windows. Please register to attend today and bring a prospective member that can attend for free.
 
If you are new to TSMA you are invited to register for the new member orientation on Tuesday, April 18 at 2:00 pm.
 
Remember to register to attend Session 26 of the Marketing for Manufacturing webinar series on Wednesday April 19 at 11:00 am. The topic is Marketing that Matters! Results Driven Strategies and will be presented by WhiteBox Marketing. Discover how proactive strategic planning leads to successful, effective marketing and how to improve campaigns, e-communications, social media, lead generation, and brand awareness.
 
You won’t want to miss the upcoming Workforce Development Webinar on April 26 at 11:00 am that will feature our own Amy Johnson of Cardinal Consulting Solutions with a presentation on A Manufacturers Guide to Implementing a High School Internship Program. Register today.
 
Golf!!! We had a great time at the first annual ice golf tournament in March and plans are well under way for the 30th annual TSMA Golf Social in July! More details will be coming soon, but you can still get your golf team together or be a sponsor for the event. This is our biggest fundraiser, and we really need you to participate and help raise funds for manufacturing career awareness in the area. It should be a blast!

We have numerous member anniversaries this quarter and want to send a huge thank you to our loyal members! 30 years: Alexandria Area Economic Development Commission, Alexandria Industries, Alexandria Technical & Community College, North Risk Partners, Otter Tail Power Company, Productive Alternatives, RC Machining Company; 20 years: Kanga Machinery; 15 years: Falcon Industries; 10 years: West Central Area Schools; and 5 years: Hahn Financial Group, and Sunrise Machine & Tool.

I would also like to encourage your registration and participation in all our upcoming events. We are here to help you succeed, but we need your help and your participation for us to continue to succeed! I hope to see you at the Luncheon Meeting on April 4!
 
Last, but not least we need TSMA members to get involved. We are looking for committee members on the following committees: Membership, Programs, Special Events, Government Affairs, and Workforce Development. Please let me know where you’d like to serve.
