TSMA President's Letter - Spring 2022

Greetings to TSMA members, associates, and friends!

As always it’s great to see all signs of spring! We survived a challenging winter here in Minnesota! And as always there’s lots happening with TSMA.

First, I’d like to announce the hiring of Bailey Olson as the Membership and Workforce Development Specialist! Bailey has experience in association management and works remotely from Duluth. Welcome Bailey!

Second, I’d like to invite you to register and attend our upcoming hybrid meeting on April 5 at 12 pm in Fergus Falls. You can attend in person or online! The focus of the meeting is workforce development, a subject that is critical to ALL of us. The presentation, led by a panel of workforce experts, will be on Innovative Workforce Solutions – The Inclusive Workforce Employer Designation. We will also be touring PAYDAC Plastics.

Be sure to check out the featured member article on Brunswick New York Mills, the feature on TSMA Board member Rick Bleichner, Superintendent at the Herman-Norcross School District, and an update on the latest news on our Manufacturing Career Dream Team.

Mark your calendar for the May 3rd TSMA meeting. Watch for more details in the coming weeks.

MMA’s Marketing for Manufacturers series will continue April 20 with a Proactive Approach: Creating an internal external engagement strategy. Register to attend the May 18 webinar titled Marketing your manufacturing business with video.  Both events are free.

It’s time to start thinking green – the 29th annual TSMA Golf Social is scheduled for July 20 at Geneva Golf Club in Alexandria. Pull together a team and register to attend.

I would also like to encourage your registration and participation in all our upcoming events. We are here to help you succeed, but we need your help for us to continue to succeed!

I hope to see you at the meeting on April 5!

Best Regards,
Mark Petersen
TSMA President
