Manufacturers – it’s not too early to sign up for the 2022 Statewide tour of Manufacturing.  This year, the event will again feature both live and virtual tours. Minnesota Manufactured has resources available to guide you through either approach. 
 
This year we’ll again celebrate Minnesota Manufacturing Month throughout the entire month of October as proclaimed by Governor Walz. Reach out to your local school now to schedule a student tour this fall. Get started on producing a virtual tour.  Make plans to open your doors to the public on one or more dates in October. Join the celebration, and help influence the next generation of manufacturing employees!

Statewide, manufacturing provided 14% of the state’s gross domestic product and accounted for 11.4% of statewide employment in 2020. More than 309,000 people work in manufacturing in Minnesota and, in terms of direct and indirect jobs, manufacturing supports almost 900,000 jobs, or roughly 33% of all the state’s jobs. Average annual wages for workers in manufacturing are $70,860, 10% higher than across all industries in Minnesota.
